The Ferry Fair

The fair which is running from August 5th to August 12th has been in its present format since 1930. It’s an opportunity for the local the community to join together to participate in a wide variety of activities with the sole purpose of entertaining the children of the area. The children are entertained through a mixture of activities, including sports races, competitions and live entertainment. The culmination of these festivities is the crowning of the “Ferry Fair Queen.” The Queen is chosen from one of the local primary schools; Queensferry, St Margaret’s and Echline. The year’s queen is Jessica Hope. Special mention must go to the Ferry Fair Committee and to the volunteers whose hard work and dedication make the fair a success.
