Jubilee FM

Jubilee FM is this year celebrating its 5th Birthday. The station began on August 3rd 2002 and station director Charles Fletcher believes the stations success is down to its straight forward philosophy: to serve the community. Mr Fletcher believes “It is local radio at its best. Involved in everything around it and reflecting a great place to live and work.” The station which serves both sides of the Forth, with its heart being in South Queensferry targets those within sight of the Forth Road Bridge, bringing a potential audience of 25,000.The station which, is a not for profit organisation and relies solely on volunteers and local advertising is looking forward to a bright future. It has recently added its very own Jubilee FM graduates to its staff .

The radio station is currently bidding for a Community Licence, which would enable it to broadcast all year round. The station organisers believe the people of Queensferry deserve a local radio station and within the population there is a desire for one. Charles Fletcher recognizes that with “a mix of advertising revenue and grants, there’s a strong case to be made for our own dedicated station”.
