Stop the drop-off charge

Margaret is leading the campaign along with Mike Crockart MP to stop drop-off charges being introduced at Edinburgh Airport later this year. The airport is trying to introduce a £1 charge for dropping passengers at its terminal building by car.

Commenting on the situation, Margaret Smith MSP for Edinburgh West said:

"This is an unfair and unnecessary charge.

"People will not leave elderly relatives or loved ones with their heavy luggage to get a bus. The proposal will particularly affect those who are older or who have a disability.

"I have raised my concerns with Management at the airport and will continue to fight against the introduction of a charge."
