Breast Cancer Campaign and Margaret Smith MSP
ask you to ‘wear it pink’
30/10/06
Margaret Smith MSP has supported Breast Cancer Campaign in its
award winning ‘wear it pink’ day on Friday 27 October 2006
as part of breast Cancer awareness month. ‘Wear it pink’ day
allowed people to dress as brightly as they wanted in pink by making
a simple donation of just £2. The donations will allow Breast Cancer
Campaign to continue researching the cure and help the one woman in nine
in the UK that will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
Breast
Cancer Campaign is the only charity that specialises in funding independent
research into breast cancer throughout the UK.
Margaret says “Every
year over 13,000 people in the UK die from breast cancer. Some of them
will be from my constituency, Edinburgh West, and that is why I support
Breast Cancer Campaign’s ‘wear
it pink” day. It’s great fun and the money raised will go
towards valuable breast cancer research.”
