Smith Supports Tougher Action on Business Crime

Edinburgh West MSP Margaret Smith has tabled a Parliamentary motion supporting the joint Business Protection Policy Group initiative by Lothian and Borders Police and the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce. The organisations will be working together to tackle business-related crime across the capital and develop the local economy. The motion has already been supported by other local MSPs and it is hoped that the partnership will inspire similar schemes across Scotland to reduce business crime.

Commenting, Margaret said: “It is great that such an innovative scheme is now underway in Edinburgh and I’m sure that businesses across the capital will benefit from the advice and assistance offered by the Business Protection Policy Group.”
